Wishing you Happy Happy Holidays, saying my goodbyes with 2017, sharing several personal 2017 special moments as well as #bestnine2017 of Arty’s Getaway. Let’s do this!
First of all… I really hope this holiday season is everything you hoped for and more!
Okay, I know, we say this every end of each year (and by we I mean pretty much each and every one of us, that’s right, there’s no getting out of this), but can you believe how fast 2017 flew?
As I’m starring into the eyes of 2018, whispering threatening promises about how I’m gonna grab the year by the balls (it’s way more detailed irl) & whatnot (also, I’m pretty much sure we all do this each year too, and if you say you don’t, well, just let the hangover pass, it’ll all come back to you), I can’t help but stop, look back and reflect on all that has happened. And to be perfectly honest, all I can think in this moment is “what the fuck was so special in 2017?”. Followed by an embarrassing “giiirl, you boring?” moment. But, no, wait, I’ll think of something, just give me a second… Omg, NOTHING comes to mind! Blank! Okay, now I’m just re-reading what I’ve just wrote to make sure that this doesn’t sound like a suicide note… Wait a minute, wait a minute, I got something! (actually, I had to ask Angela & she reminded me)
Personal // Some Special 2017 Moments.
I finally got my bachelor’s degree! Dude, I could’ve finish this thing like at least 3 years ago, all I needed to do was write the final paper, present it, and over. But I kept postponing it for years, and then I freaking finally got it done, in 2017, so I’ll say it was indeed a special year!
Okay, okay, okay, see, see, not bad, things happened, I just needed a little time + help remembering.
My blog turned 1, which for me is a pretty big accomplishment, given how I usually give up way to sooner with almost every other thing. And this is something I’m voluntarily doing, like I wake up every day and choose to spend time on this, and it’s still going on, so.. Not a quitter, but determined af, which I think it’s a good thing, no?
I “attended” Grant Cardone’s 10X Growth Con, that is from the comfort of my home. Unfortunately tho, I had a little 3-day projectile vomiting situation which made me miss the first day, but at least I got to see the rest of it. The conference was amazeballs dude! And one of the best investments I did, I’m really excited about the next one in 2018. If I start explaining all the great things I’ve learned from watching it, it will take too long, hell it’ll be 2018! So, I’m just gonna say – you have 24 serious entrepreneurs, self-made billionaires, successful & inspiring hustlers teaching you how to basically get your shit together business-wise, and become a mother effing business rockstar. Or something like that. I obviously have a lot more to learn!
I also went on a 2 weeks vacation in Greece in August (totally unplanned) which was a treat from my mom. We had a pretty darn great time, except when I was an annoying little bitch, which I hope wasn’t too often. We did a lot of catching up, we played Yahtzee, and to be perfectly honest, she mostly beat the crap out of me.
The pool set Angela and I invested in was a total hit. Well, that is when we were free to use it, which wasn’t as often as I’d hoped. Still, some of the best moments and laughs happened there, so.. a total hit!
Okay, now let’s do the blog’s #bestnine2017
Arty’s Getaway #bestnine2017
Nine of my, and strangely enough your, “according to recent study”, favorite posts on Arty’s Getaway.
1. This fruity hot chocolate is perfect for winter!
2. Adding industrial details around with these bras bolt candle holders.
3. Maria’s Pom Pom Christmas Tree is to die for! (this was not featured on Arty’s Getaway, but it’s one of the most kick-ass diy project I’ve been part of, and you can find the tutorial here)
4. I made a bunch of these patterned paper bags and I’m storing all sorts of different things in them + I have something pretty to look at.
5. The white chocolate barks inspired by Mondrian’s yellow, red and blue composition.
6. An incredibly easy + quite tasty snack for a low-key movie night.
7. Banana bread muffins, and need I say more?
9. The wire cactus was a total hit.
I have a lot of great 2018 plans for you pal, with this blog, as well as some other projects which I’m not revealing yet. I’m super excited tho!
What are your #bestnine2017 ? I’d love to hear what were some of your favorite moments from 2017! As well as all about your big plans for 2018!
And finally, have a shit load of fun on New year’s eve, whatever fun means to you, and also, may you too grab 2018 by the balls and make it your little bitch (again, whatever grabbing it by the balls means to you)!
Just one more thing actually.. Given how in Macedonia we celebrate Christmas on the 7th of January, Arty’s Getaway is gonna be taking a little vacay, and I’ll be back with fresh new content as of 15.01.2018.
