I am seriously this close (the almost invisible distance between your thumb and index finger) to go full Christmas around the house at this precise moment. And in the yard. Seriously. But, since it’s kinda early to do all that, I decided to just start warming up for the festivities ahead, for now. Yeah, I know. I too am a sucker for the twinkling lights, sparkling ornaments, the gifts in socks, and everything. Who isn’t?
Now that I think about it, all of that; the lights, the man in the chimney, the star on the top of the tree, Rudolf and his gang, the dude in the chimney; I think it’s a reminder of sorts, you know. That maybe sometimes, magic and all of that, is possible. With a little help from our friends.
Just look at it this way, man. Who makes this season the magic that it is? Well, yeah, coca-cola, I mean those guys are killin’ it. And, of course other big companies in the “Christmas industry”. But, also, you. And that tall guy that sells you beer. And, that nice lady from your neighborhood that you always say hi to. And the guys that you go to when your car isn’t working. That gal who does you hair. Your pals who run the bar you love going to. That always-serious coworker of yours, that maybe never smiles, but never misses his role as the fat guy with white beard who sneaks in and leaves gifts for his kids. Your best buds.
This may sound, I don’t know, naive, or childish, or… All right, I really don’t know how it may sound, but I know that it may sound not-so-good to many of you, but just think about it. The guys from coca-cola don’t decorate your tree, you do. They don’t turn the lights on that other tree in your yard, for you, each night. You do. Santa doesn’t bring you gifts. It’s either one of your parents, a friend, significant other… So, in a way, we all contribute for that magic. To keep it going. Man, I surely kept going with this revelation of mine. You know, sometimes it’s all right if you guys just stopped me. Okay, enough with the not-at-all-small talks, already.
Anyhow, this is a little something I made last year, and wanted to share it with you because, well, it seem we can all use a little bit of that Christmas magic earlier. Scroll down to see the rest of the photos, and should you like it, pass it to a friend. Of course, feel free to inspire all of us here with a little bit of your own Christmas-Magic stuff, in the comments section below.
