Apparently, there is a way of introducing a little bit of style to the room all by yourself, and wait for it, for like no money at all. Did you guys know this? I’m sure you did, you smarty-pants, you. Anyhow, for this little “reinventing the space around” project, I tried to combine two things I find awesome – watercolor and comic books. And I absolutely love how this voguish, comics-inspired paintings turned out.
I decided to hang three golden frames above the champagne-colored, kinda boho mirror, and mix things up a bit. And, since that’s where I do my make up and other beauty-related stuff, I figured I can do something that will bring out a little bit of the girly stuff, while elevating the space with some both cool and sassy wall art.
I rarely choose pink when it comes to my clothes, especially not with this intensity, but for some reason, I seem to enjoy it here and there in the room. It sets kinda both chic-y and cozy tone to the space, especially (actually, only) when it comes in small, subtle details. Having that in mind, I was confident in choosing this particular shade of pink for the lips here. And wouldn’t you just kill, or like, do some serious s*it, for the eyelashes? I mean, look at all that drama.
Anyhow, it was fun painting them, as it is just to look at them. I’m happy with the fact that such small details can do pretty darn great job in a room where bigger ones are in need. But, hey, baby steps.
