Bring some colors into your Christmas decor (or just into your decor) with this festive & budget friendly pom pom garland diy. All you need to know – below!
Hey there color lover! You’ll love this!
If you want to add some colors into your home, and in time for Christmas, then this little festive pom pom garland DIY project is totally for you. Even though it’s not your 5 minute diy (it takes around 2 hours, if you’re making the pom poms yourself, like I did), it’s really not difficult at all. And budget friendly! I’m planning to incorporate it in my Christmas decor, maybe as a garland for the tree. Not sure tho, but I can also totally see myself displaying it somewhere around the house throughout the year. So, let’s do this, yes?
Festive Pom Pom Garland DIY.
…but first, the pom poms!
What you need…
– Yarn/Wool (several different colors)
– Pom Pom Makers (I have these and they are totally worth it)
And about making it… photos below.
Now the Festive Pom Pom Garland DIY.
for 2 meters long pom pom garland
– around 17 pom poms (4 cm diameter)
– Thread + Needle
Just choose a nice, strong thread, put it into the needle, and then thread each of the pom poms, leaving a little space between them (mine are 4 cm apart).
You can also glue each one of the pom poms on the string, so that they don’t move, but that felt unnecessary for me at the moment I made them, so I left them like that. Since the string they’re hangin’ on is thin, they did move a little while I was putting them on and around the tree (the branches actually caused the moving mostly). But once I got them where I wanted them, they stood still and shit. Or, don’t glue them, but use the same yarn/wool you used for the pom poms to string them on, and they won’t move that much.
