I’ve found a super-easy way of warming up during an extremely cold January Day – a super-delicious at-home Hot Chocolate.
There are days that are simply perfect for something of a drink, super warm for your throat + sweet to cheer you up. In case you’re wondering why the need of something cheering you up… You’re bummed because there’s snow outside, but it’s too cold to go out + you got work to do. Is it just me? This was an example that just popped on my mind. I actually think that there’s no need of any excuse to have this hot chocolate here, because, one – it’s easy, and two – it kicks ass. Plus, sooo Instagram-able. Continue scrolling down for the photographed instructions as to how to make this Delicious Hot Chocolate as the Perfect Beverage for a Cold Winter Day.
the What-s + How To-s
*Note: These amounts of ingredients make for two regular cups of hot chocolate. I used this crazy-ass big cup (or is it a bowl?!), like our Friends used to drink from in Central Perk, for this photo shoot. This is way way to much for one person. I should know, given my close-to-serious addiction with chocolate and the sweet stuff. But even I agree that this should be something we will enjoy, not get nausea from.
Combine the milk, the heavy cream, the powdered sugar + Nescafe into a pot and place it onto a heat. Stir it for about few minutes, and just before it starts boiling, remove it from the heat. Put the chopped chocolate in the mixture and stir so that the chocolate blends with it. Place the pot on the heat again for a few minutes, so that your mixture is all nicely homogenized. Remove it & serve.
I don’t think that there’s a need of covering the steps considering the toppings. It’s totally up to you. You can even go with walnuts, almond, peanuts and/or something like that, you know… Go nuts. Okay, I think this’ll do it.
Any ideas on this topic? Or should I say toppings? Look at me, funny and all. Those ideas – share them in comments! Okay, I’m off. Have a nice hot chocolate-y day!
