The beginnings of my kitchen escapades // Easy-to-make Oreo bits as a way of saying Thank You. And, of course, sprinkles to match with the festivities of this season.
Last Tuesday I organized an Oriflame Presentation (covering few face sets of products) at my place & invited several friends over to try the products out. I wanted to thank each and every one of them who managed to come, but I didn’t just wanna say it. The ones who came are actually in my closest group of gal-palls, so it’s totally expected that they’ll be the ones that will support me no matter what. And that I’m thankful for that. Still, just saying “thank you” felt like not enough to me. I wanted somewhat of a bigger gesture than that. This time I chose sweet treats because, well, a little bit of chocolate never hurt anyone & it’s always a great idea. Especially when it comes in bits like these ones. As someone who’s new at the cooking-baking-kitchen stuff, I am confident to say that this was a piece of cake. It’s simple way of expressing thankfulness that goes a long way. Do continue reading to see how-to make the Sprinkled Oreo Bits that will do a great job as a Thank-You treats, a hosts-gift, or well, the evening right after a crazy Wednesday.
Put the Oreo cookies in a blender for several minutes. Once they’re nicely crushed in small pieces, add the cream cheese and continue mixing until the cookies and the cream are blended.
Take the sticky mixture out of the blender and place it in a separate bowl. Start rolling small balls and place them on a plate.
Melt the chocolate and dip one half of each Oreo ball in it. Once you’ve repeated this with all of the Oreo Bits, decorate with sprinkles.
The Oreo Bits should be refrigerated for at least half an hour before serving.
