Entertainment // Low-Key Fridays // My favorite stand-up shows on Netflix for some serious Friday laughs, and since a girl’s gotta snack, a great cheesy dip for your chips.
So, Angela and I have re-activated our Netflix account, and boy, I almost forgot how both frustrating and fun can one have with it. Why frustrating, you may ask. Well.. Friday is the best day for laying on the couch wearing comfortable clothes, relaxing, snacking & watching some great shit on Netflix, right? I mean, a couch + TV on a Friday night, after a week well done (or close enough) is something I wanna indulge in every now and then, especially when Saturday night plans include loud music and alcohol.
But then, what in the arse to watch when you want to just relax? Like, something that doesn’t require some serious brain activity, but isn’t lame. Here’s when frustration kicks in. How many times have you found yourself pointlessly starring at the TV, you’ve given up on actually finding something, like 15 minutes ago, so now you’re just like, reading random movies’ descriptions. And you maybe forgot that you have friends over, a couple who also have Netflix at home, where they could’ve actually “chilled” instead of spending Friday night with you, you know what I mean? Oooukay, enough with the jokes, this isn’t your stand-up comedy show, chill. So, to make sure that you have a great low-key Friday (and to spare your friends from the awkwardness above described), I’m sharing this great cheesy chips dip + 3 kick-ass stand-up comedy shows with you. Head on below!
Cheesy Chips Dip.
Roughly followed this recipe.
– 200 gr (8 oz) Cream Cheese
– 2 Cups Mozzarella Cheese
– 1/2 Cup Cheddar Cheese
– 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
– 1 Cup Tomato Sauce
– Green Hot Pepper (depending how chilly you want it)
– Tortilla or Doritos or bread or what have you
1. Preheat the oven to 180 C (350 F).
2. Mix together the cream cheese, 1 1/2 Cups mozzarella, cheddar, 1/4 cup Parmesan and Basil.
3. Once you’ve mixed these, add the tomato sauce + the 1/2 mozzarella + 1/4 Parmesan on top, and sprinkle some more basil over.
4. Cut the green pepper in small pieces and sprinkle them over the mixture.
5. Bake for around half an hour.
6. And serve.
3 Netflix Stan-up Comedy Shows that totally kick-ass laughs-wise.
1. Iliza Shlesinger – Confirmed Kills – 2016.
1 Hour 17 Minutes
What “going out, but just one drink, tho” actually means, goblins, shark tank, and boys/men – you have to hear this! What happens when you’re late for our date! Freaking hilarious. True, tho.
2. Dave Chappelle – 2017.
After 10 years, the king is back! Lots of OJ Simpson, Bill Cosby jokes, Oscars’ story, and self-burns. Kills it, like always.
3. Katherine Ryan – In Trouble – 2017.
1 Hour 3 Minutes
I’ve never seen Katherine’s other stand-ups before, but I absolutely loved this one & will definitely be checking her other work. Canadian jokes, dissing her sister, and Taylor Swift (which is always fun), and more. Great, great show.
