My Go-To Beauty Products – Nivea’s Cleansing Gel Aqua Sensation. It’s so good, it has turned into my little sacred before-going-to-bed ritual.
I’ve never been someone who uses tons of beauty products, face creams, face lotions potions and whatnot. I have a fairly clear face, and skin in general. No serious-looking acne or any of those ugly-ass bastards. Well, if we’re not counting the awesome PMS days when most of us girls unleash our charming, often simultaneously crying and laughing, beasts with a pimple or two. So, my collection of face care products is somewhat moderate (which wasn’t always the case with body creams and lotions, though…). However, I do have a somewhat dry skin, and the fact that I’m a smoker for, let’s just say, years, doesn’t help with that.
You may say that, given what I’ve said above, I’m not exactly qualified to share my opinion on this matter. And you’re probably right with this, I’m not an expert for sure. However, I have tried enough skin care products to notice a difference. The case in point – Nivea’s Aqua Sensation. I discovered it at least 3 years ago, and I don’t think that I knew exactly what I was looking for. And it turned out to be exactly what I needed to address the dryness.
Instead of washing my face with a soap, which is only making my face dryer, I use Nivea’s Aqua Sensation. I usually use it when I wash my face before going to bed. If I’d put makeup that day, I would remove it first with micellar water as of late, or wipes. And yes, I’ve heard the wipes aren’t the best choice, but… Anyway, then I apply the cleansing gel on a somewhat wet skin. I massage my face with the gel for a minute or so, then wash it with water. It makes my face look, and, even more importantly, feel hydrated, clean and soft. I normally apply my moisturizing cream right after (it’s also Nivea). I’ve made this my little before-going-to-bed ritual, along with taking care of that salad in the teeth, and I quite enjoy it.
(Somewhat) Funny Story // When I’ve first discovered this, I’ve, obviously, recommended it to all my girlfriends, and some of them gave it a try. But, also, there was a male friend who decided to give it a go, and then kept calling it the Face Shampoo. He thought it was quite great, too.
What are your go-to face care/beauty products? Anything that’s just so good, it has turned into your sacred ritual? Share it in comments, I’d love to hear!
