Mom’s Hand-Made Jewelry // the Minimal “Outside the Bow” Necklace // When an almost unnoticeable twist makes the piece almost-impossible to miss.
A few weeks ago I’ve shared my mom’s, at the time latest hand-made piece of jewelry, the turquoise necklace, and I’ve said that I intent to share some more of her hand-made pieces of art with you, which is exactly what I’m doing. Wow, the intro, tho. Sometimes you just gotta start, you know.
Anyways, when it comes to our personal style, my mom has learned until now what it is Angela and I like, what do we love, what it is we’d wear and whatnot (from clothes to accessories). So, whenever she makes a, let’s say, series of jewelry, she’d come up with a little something especially with our taste and style in mind, and she’d gift it to us. Sometimes it’s a necklace, sometimes it’s a bracelet, earrings, and it always feels so special. Isn’t she the best?
So, a while ago, she showed me some of her latest jewelry that I haven’t seen until then, including this one (which I decided to name it “Outside the Box” Obsidian Necklace here) and I was surprised in the most pleasant of ways. It’s so simple, minimalist and whatnot, yet it’s exactly the almost-unnoticeable twist on it that makes it almost-impossible to miss. It instantly caught my eye, I hardly looked at the others. My mom’s smiley face revealed that she’s actually made this specifically for our taste, which ones again proves that after all #mamaknowsbest
