The Softest Peachy Duster with a waterfall twist that adds a note of playful to an otherwise polished line. Perfect for Breezy Spring Days.
I spotted this duster coat of sorts at New Yorker while looking for some jeans and shirts. Just like I bought a t-shirt this past Sunday, while on a wedding-outfit hunt. Not a thing for the wedding, tho. I guess it is true, you can’t always find what you looking for. But, you can find unexpectedly-great shit, and that’s just as fine. Like this softest (seriously!), peachy duster. I don’t normally like my outfits toо classy, too polished or anything, it just ain’t me. I always like (and try) to have a fun spin on my outfits, something playful. And the duster offered me exactly the right combination between sophisticated, yet somewhat fun with the nonchalant flow on its front.
It can be paired with a more elegant outfit underneath, say white/black high-waist, skinny, ankle pants, a white/black lace shirt and heels, for a clean and classy look, work/meeting-approved. And, while it being a peachy pink faux suede (it’s quite delicate) kinda doesn’t allow you to just go crazy improvising with it, it still offers the chance to introduce it to a more casual, easy-breezy, coffee-date type of combo. Since for me it was a date-night at the bar with my friends, I paired it with somewhat baggy jeans, a white top and sneakers, opting for a more relaxed look.
Little Back Story* You know how uncomfortable I get when I have to be photographed for a post. This photo shoot (which I know it may sounds like something pros do, but in reality it’s just Angela yelling at me to get it together) wasn’t any different. Luckily, there’s always something/someone that jumps in and takes care of me so that I relax a little. Many many times, it was Phoebe. This one time it was the wind that totally saved the day. And, now it was this girl. Mara was in the neighborhood, and Lea saw as, she yelled “Angaaa” (my sister), and she came over. Kids bring the funny and relaxed side of you out, ain’t that the truest of truths?
Since I can’t seem to find the exact same duster, I’ve found just as awesome of an alternative, and budget-friendly too, here.
