I’ve been wishing for a nice, well-equipped, at-home gift wrapping station for a longer time now. Even tough I still have, like, no space for the station I’m imagining, I started “collecting” some of the necessary materials. I’ve bought few wrapping paper rolls in different colors & patterns. I have some ribbons, laces, strings. It’s not much, but it does the job. What I’ve been always lacking when a birthday or gift-occasion happened, were gift tags.
And get the irony. I love playing with paper and watercolor. I’m bananas for crafting all kinds of cards that go with presents as the final personal touch. Yet, when the actual occasion arises, I seem to always miss a personalized gift tags. So, in order to stop freaking out the next time when I have to go someplace and bring something to the hosts, I decided to elevate my gift wrapping (almost) station and make some gift tags myself.
A while ago, I made this vase with nail polish (here), and I just love how the combination of colors turned out, so I decided to use the same colors here. I used pink, coral-red, orange, and every now and then a little bit of green. I just love how the colors merged together, turning into different shades. And, to dial down the pink-madness, I decided to pair them with a minimalist black-and-white patterned tags. It turned out great, I think.
