Level up your stationery game with this pretty little DIY Copper Bookmark Triangles with a Colorful Edge. Head on below for all you need to know!
One of my mom’s hobbies and passions is making gem stone jewelry, and for that reason she always has lots of copper wire. And recently, she gave me some of her copper wire stash, so that, once I come up with an idea of how to use it, I’d have some on hand. Always be prepared you know? Like that joke “always carry a knife with you, you don’t know, there’ might be a cake to kill” or something like that. Anyways, I saw some pretty damn cool diy copper bookmark ideas (like these), so obviously I had to try and make some myself. Since I’m all about the colors and shit, I opted for a colorful edge and I love how these turned out.
Everything you need to know about how to diy copper bookmark triangles below, and then a little tease somewhere at the end. Let’s do this shit.
DIY Copper Bookmark Triangles with a Colorful Edge.
– Thin Copper Wire (around 40 cm long for one of these)
– Hot Glue Gun
I haven’t measured the triangles before making them, it was pretty much a trial and error case. After I made the first one that I loved (which was third, counting the ones that didn’t turn out good), I just use it as a template for the others. For a more precise triangle bookmark, you can just draw it on a piece of paper, and that use that to form your triangle bookmark. Anywayzzz…
1. Start by shaping the smaller triangle. I mostly shaped it with my hands, except for the corners, where you kinda need to use the pliers to press the wire to avoid ending up with a rounded triangle. Continue shaping it until you’ve reached the desired look. The photos below should definitely help you.
And how are you leveling up your stationery game? Any fun diy-s I should now about? Share your awesome crafts in comments, I’d love to see what you’ve been up to!
